How I got into insulation work

I learned insulation doing upkeep for a property management company. That meant crawling through attics and crawl spaces in buildings full of tenants, and a lot of what I found up there was somebody else's shortcut. Fresh insulation laid over a roof leak. Insulation packed around bad wiring. Old material full of droppings with a new layer on top, as if that settled it. It didn't, and I was usually the one who cleaned it up.

I started this business in Dallas in 2017 to do the work the way I wished it had been done in those buildings. Around here we see everything, from older houses with a few thin inches in the attic to newer ones with a hot room over the garage. We're best known for attic work, sealing first and insulating second. Homeowners call us, and so do landlords and property managers who want it done without a fuss. If the job you're asking about isn't needed, I'll tell you. Everything else we do is on our home page.

What you'll notice when we work on your house

These are the things you'll see when we're at your house. Most of them come from years of cleaning up insulation jobs that were done in the wrong order.

  • We look before we plan

We check your attic or crawl space for anything that has to be fixed first, like a leak, soaked old insulation or droppings. Then we build the plan around the house you actually have, not a standard package.

  • Sealing comes before insulation

We close the gaps around can lights, pipes and the attic hatch first, because insulation can't do its job with a draft blowing through it. That's called air sealing, and it's the part most people skip.

  • Clean work in a lived-in home

Years of working in rentals full of tenants taught us to keep the mess in the attic and out of your hallway. We cover what needs covering and clean up before we leave.

  • A straight answer, even when it's no

If a job isn't worth doing, we'll say so and leave it there. In Dallas, electrical work has to be done by a licensed electrician, so if your attic wiring needs attention, we'll tell you and wait until that's done.

What to expect from first call to finished job

Here's how a job goes with us, from the first call to the last check. You'll deal with me at the start and at the end, and with our crew in between.

  1. Call or send a request

Call (214) 706-4099 or send a request from our contact page. We reply to calls and requests within one business day and set a time for me to come take a look.

  2. I come out to estimate

I look at your attic or crawl space and write the estimate myself, free and obligation-free. The price turns on the size of the space, what's up there now and what has to come out or be sealed first.

  3. We check on permits

Before we start, we check with the city's building office. When your job needs a permit, we handle the application and the inspections, so you're not the one on the phone with the city.

  4. Our crew installs, I check

Our crew does the install and works clean around your family and your things. I go back through and check the work before we call it done. Satisfaction guaranteed.
